Human Rights Day Flag Raising Ceremony
About
Join us to celebrate our rights and freedom and remember those who are still fighting for theirs. In partnership with Moreton Bay Regional Council the Zonta Club of Redcliffe Inc. has a morning of guests including speakers from MBRC, United Nations Brisbane. Human Rights Day is observed on 10 December every year across the world. On this day, in the year 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). Every human being is entitled to these rights regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. In 2022, Human Rights Day is focusing on how rights are the beginning of peace within societies, and a way to create a fairer society for future generations.
Hot drinks to purchase from a coffee van will be available. Some seating provided.
